news & updates

January 3rd, 2009

Dear friends and supporters,
It has been a while that we haven’t been able to send you an update. We could not have imagined how time consuming having a new born and a 18 month old can be! It has been a joy to get to know Samuel and to see Rebecca get used having
the little guy around. Here is what we have been up to.

Family Stuff:
We spent Christmas with my parents and the whole family. In this consumerist society it is hard to keep the mind focused on the Reason for the season. My dad was able to read the Christmas story, the kids version, to Rebecca and her cousin Cristina, who is just
over one year old. It is always a blessing to be able to spend time with family and to be able to think of the birth of Jesus! Rebecca has gotten used to having “Bimbo” around. Sammy is still too hard for her say. Samuel has been growing in a very healthy way. He already weighs more than half of his big sisters weight. He is not sleeping through
the night yet, but we are sure he will eventually. Sara has recuperated well, but is having a hard time recuperating the lost sleep at night. Samuel always seems to be awake when Rebecca takes her nap, so no rest is to be had.

Ministry Stuff:

On the 13th of December I went to Imola with 6 other people from our church in Bologna. We had 150 Gospel calendars to give away. The distribution went very well and we were able to hand all of them out. It will be exciting to see what God will do through us in that
city. We will not be moving there until the end of the summer, but we are already trying to make some contacts. The College group that we lead is going well. We are praying for someone to be able to lead it once we move. It would be neat to see this group continue
to grow in number and spiritually. The discipleships are also going well. I just started discipling a new person, his name is Emmanuele. He left the church about 5 years ago and has been away from the Lord for this whole time. He came back with a desire to re-connect with God
and the church.

Praise and Prayer requests:

• Sara was able to take and pass her last university exam two weeks before Samuel was born. She only has her thesis left and will
finally be done with her degree.
• Rebecca has gotten used to her baby brother.
• The 3 one-on-one discipleships that I have with Stefano, Gioele and Emmanuele.
• We praise God for this year of ministry that He gave us.

Thank you all for your prayers, please keep in contact with us, we love you hear from you!
